Oxford Street - 8 Pledges from Westminster City Council

Last week parts of Marylebone and Mayfair received a mail shot of this document from Westminster Council

This contains eight pledges from the Leader of the Council and the Deputy Leader with regard to the Mayors and TfL proposals for the closure of Oxford Street.

We cannot see that these pledges actually begin to tackle the fundamental problem of putting Marylebone on the front line to receive all Oxford Street's traffic, 24 hours at day. We would therefore support the objections raised in the the Better Oxford Street Response to the Eight Pledges, below:
