Marylebone - Pedestrianisation of St Vincent's Street

One local pedestrianisation scheme we can all support is the closure of St Vincent's Street (outside St Vincent's Primary School). The closure will occur in July. The long term benefits are to be welcomed especially by the school making the area safer for school children. Unfortunately, you will probably see construction work on the street for some time as development work to 110 Marylebone High Street is likely to occur in the near future.

Marylebone - Charge your electric vehicle at a lamp post!

Dozens of Marylebone's lamp-posts have been fitted with electric car chargers by Berlin company Ubitricity. Concerns about additional 'street clutter' created by installing regular chargers has been one of the hurdles preventing more widespread electric car adoption. The points draw on the same energy supply as the lamppost and charging costs are recorded by the smart charger attached to the charging cable. The system has been designed for low-power charging for local residents and workers without access to off-street parking.
